Economic Affairs Secretary Subhash Chandra Garg, the senior-most civil servant in the Finance Ministry, has been named Finance Secretary.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has endorsed assigning Subhash Chandra Garg as the Finance Secretary. Previous Finance Secretary Ajay Narayan Jha superannuated on February 28.
A Personnel Ministry request likewise said to such an extent.
Garg (58), a 1983 clump IAS officer of Rajasthan framework, has been filling in as the Secretary in Department of Economic Affairs since June 2017.

Pandey and Kumar are 1984 bunch IAS officers individually. Chakraborty and Murmu are 1985 clump IAS officers.
