While the nation is talking about the unemployment issue right now, Periodic Labour Force Survey came out and raised a few more question about employment in India. This survey talks about the money or salary of Indian employees.
According to the survey, the workforce of regular salaried jobs rose by only 5% between 2011-12 and 2017-18. Although, the regular salaried employees make more money in comparison to the casual workers.
The urban and rural payscale is also clear like always. Urban employees are getting higher pays than rural employees. Regular employees work-life seems to be good but stats show the dark side of it.
According to the survey, 45% of regular employee’s are earning less Rs.10,000 per month. Also, around 12% are getting money below than Rs.5000 per month.
Stats showed that only 3% of employee’s get a chance to earn a good salary of Rs50,000 to 1,00,000. Right now unemployment is one of the major issues in the country but also the salary discrimination is among them.
