While we are a couple of days away from the launch event, the Xiaomi Black Shark gaming smartphone has now been spotted online in a live image. The new smartphone, which can be likely to be launched on Friday, April 13, is already teased with a Snapdragon 845 SoC. An intro image also emerged recently that showed curved edges of the upcoming smartphone which will be backed by Xiaomi but is expected to transport Black Shark brand to rival Razer Phone.
According to the Weibo source, the Black Shark will include an OLED screen and include an under-display fingerprint sensor. It’s worth noting here that the trunk panel leaked in the live image doesn’t show any fingerprint sensor, though Xiaomi generally runs on the rear-facing fingerprint sensor on its models. Thus giving us another reason you may anticipate the clear presence of an under-display fingerprint sensor on the Black Shark smartphone. Also, there’s speculation that the handset will feature surround sound technology to provide a far more immersive gaming experience.
Specifications and options that come with the Xiaomi-powered Black Shark gaming smartphone are yet to be officially revealed. Nevertheless, an AnTuTu listing previously confirmed that the newest phone will feature a full-HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) display having an 18:9 aspect ratio and 32GB of onboard storage. A listing on Geekbench also detailed the accessibility to Android 8.0 Oreo and 8GB of RAM.
