WhatsApp to Organise Startup Challenge in India

Whatsapp on Wednesday reported a tie-up with Invest India to promote Indian startups and said it would sort out a startup challenge in the nation with the mean to put resources into the main five members of the opposition.

“WhatsApp will contribute quarter of a million dollars as seed subsidizing to the best 5 victors of the WhatsApp Startup Challenge,” an official explanation said.

Likewise, the organization would contribute an extra $2,50,000 (generally Rs. 1.8 crores) to a chosen few firms from the pioneering network to advance their WhatsApp business number on Facebook.

Talking on the event here, Union Minister of Commerce and Civil Aviation, Suresh Prabhu said that the startup network is the fate of India and it will be the stage through which “a huge number of youth of this nation will be productively utilized”.

Remarking on the organization, Deepak Bagla, CEO, Invest India – the national speculation advancement and help office – stated: “India includes more than three new companies multi day, positioning it among the best startup countries on the planet. Through this organization with WhatsApp, we mean to help the inventive new companies in India and to make arrangements for India as well as the whole world.”
